Class Expectations/Syllabus

Every student is required to "attend" class each day in order to be counted present. There are several options that are acceptable to be counted present.

1. Attend the virtual lesson at the assigned class time that I teach daily, which may be a combination of Zoom, Google Meets, or a recorded lesson. This is the recommended method for attending class because there is a lot of new math content to cover this school year.

2. Contact me during office hours or by email by the end of each in order to let me know that you have viewed the lesson and completed any assignments.

Class Expectations/Syllabus

1. As previously mentioned, the best way to attend class is to participate in the virtual lesson that is presented during your scheduled math time each day. I will provide notes for your journals, explain new concepts and review skills, demonstate problem solving, and answer questions.

2. While in your virtual math lesson, please wait until the designated time to ask questions. I will pause during the lessons frequently to allow for questions.

3. Active participation is expected. This means, no watching TV, playing video games, texting friends, etc. You will learn best when you are tuned in to the lesson.

4. If you miss the daily lesson, please contact me before the end of the day in order to find out what you missed. If you do not, you will not be counted present for the day. Remember, ADA attendance still counts!

5. All assignments are due on the assigned due date. I will discuss this in further detail in the assignments and grading section.

6. If you are struggling with the lessons and the content presented, let me know. I'm here to help in any way I can. There are several options for tutoring that will help you get caught up.
