The Ann Brannon and Academic Awards:
Ann Brannon, a former elementary school teacher, was the Fort Worth Independent School District Assistant Superintendent for Instruction. In 1976, she developed the idea of recognizing and awarding students who have showed the most improvement or outstanding achievement in their academic studies. When she retired in 1982, the district named these awards in her honor. Teachers in each of the core content areas were asked to select students for this award. Talent, academic performance, and contributions to the classroom were all considered in determining these recipients. We are proud to continue this tradition and congratulate these students for earning Academic Awards.
Ann Brannon awards are presented to upperclassmen and Academic Awards are presented to underclassmen.
Outstanding Achievement:
There is so much more to Paschal than core academic classes. Students stay late into the night working on marching band, choir, and theatre shows. In technology classes, they put forth their best effort day in and day out. Students commit themselves to an organization or elective class to such an extent that we just can’t imagine that organization without them. These are the students who make Paschal exceptional. Teachers were asked to identify students who represent the very best of their fields. We are proud to present these students Outstanding Achievement Awards.
