¡Hola! Soy la Señora Zambrano, and I am proud to say that I will be your Spanish teacher this year.

As a native Spanish speaker, sharing the love for my language and culture has become my passion. I was born and raised in Castaños, Coahuila, México. I immigrated to the United States of America at a young age and became a US citizen when I was 18. Here I attended Weatherford College for 2 years and transferred to Tarleton State University where I earned a bachelor’s degree in Spanish Language. I loved my career so much that I decided to pursue a master’s degree in Spanish Literature, which I also earned. I also studied in Spain and Costa Rica.

This will be my 21st year in education and my 8th year teaching Spanish at TABS. I love teaching Spanish and I try to bring much of my culture into the classroom as possible. My students love to learn about cultural differences and traditions, and have fun while learning a new language. I believe that a good education shapes not only minds, but hearts as well. And that by learning a different language and traditions, can make students more cultural appreciative and incorporate that respect into their daily and future lives. My biggest joy is to see that self-confidence build up and put into practice what they learn in our class, especially when students tell me that they were able to talk or understand somebody in Spanish!

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband of 25 years, Jose Zambrano, my daughtersMaricela, Andrea, Carolina, and my granddaughter Zoey. They are my life!!!

I also love cooking traditional Mexican food, watching Disney, Marvel, and D.C. movies with my family! I ALSO LOVE TO TRAVEL!!!

Learning a new language can be intimidating, but I believe that you can acquire language skills in a manner that keeps you interested and motivated.

¡Gracias y hasta luego!
