So one way to get to know me is to ask... what types of music does Mr. W. like?

Well the answer is all kinds! This video is from one of my all time favorite bands. Nirvana! The song is called "Heart Shaped Box." See what you think. Have you heard this before?

Here's a video I made so my students can get to know a little bit about me.

But... I also like music like this. The song is called Toccata and Fugue in D Minor. It was written by a guy named Johahn Sebastian Bach, back in 1704 or maybe 1750. You might know him as JS Bach.

Another all time favorite of Mr. Wilks'! The beginning of this tune is very familiar. It sounds like a haunted house. Maybe you've heard it in a commercial or movie before... but have you ever heard the whole thing? It lasts for 9 minutes and 20 seconds! Listen to the whole thing. I dare ya!

And here's some musicians I really like. I actually got to see them in concert in Dallas a few years ago. I have a funny story I can tell about that someday if you ask me.

This is 2Cellos. One of my favorite "sort of" classical groups. They have lots of really awesome cover songs on youtubes. They are also the guys at the top of the website! This video is fun because its called "Pirates of the Caribbean" and they're dressed up like pirates! Lol. Btw, the music was written for a movie called Pirates of the Caribbean.
