Welcome fabulous First graders! I am Ms. Peyton and I have been teaching in Fort Worth ISD for 20 years! I received my Bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of North Texas. I have three kiddos and a super cute dog named Laila. I am so excited to be your teacher! I love anything chocolate and I especially love cheesecake. I enjoy reading, spending time with my family and friends, and I also enjoy rainy days! I am looking forward to a wonderful school year!
Welcome Back First Graders!
My name is Kimberly Dennis-Rushton, but please call me Ms. Rushton. I am thrilled to be your first-grade teacher this year! Parents, I am so excited to be able to share with you, the responsibility of preparing our young scholars for the future!
This will be a year full of growth, exploration, and FUN! Yes, school will be quite different this year. However, if we stay committed, work together, and encourage one another, we will SUCCEED!
Here's a little bit of information about me. I was born and raised in Greenville, TX. But I have been a resident of Fort Worth for the past 27 years. I reside with my husband, son, and toy poodle. I'm sure you'll learn more about them as the year progresses. I am a graduate of Texas A & M University-Commerce. This school year is the beginning of my 24th year in education. I've spent most of these years as a first-grade teacher! FIRST GRADE ROCKS! However, I have also taught 2nd grade, and worked as a Reading Consultant/Coach. I enjoy reading, traveling, watching great television/movies, and eating good food!
I'm really looking forward to meeting each of you and learning all about you as well! Let's make this a GREAT year!
