Hi! I am so excited to be teaching theatre at South Hills! I have been teaching for 10 years, and have taught everything from Theatre to English to Industrial Technology. I moved to Fort Worth from Chicago four years ago. I grew up around Chicago, and spent many years working in the professional theatre scene before I started teaching. It is thrilling to be back in a theatre and working with student thespians.
Before teaching, I worked in professional theaters in and around Chicago, built pipe organs, painted murals, and sold swords at a renaissance faire. I live with my husband, 3.5 year old daughter, 1 year old son, English Bulldog, and black cat. We love theatre, creating, costumes, hiking, and movies. We are huge nerds with a vast range of experiences and interests.
I have my B.A. in Theatre (minor in Art) from Hillsdale College, in Hillsdale, MI, and my M.Ed. in Education from Trinity International University, in Deerfield, IL. I am a member of the Educational Theater Association and International Thespian Society, Alpha Psi Omega (theatre honorary), Sigma Alpha Iota (music honorary), and Kappa Delta Pi (education honorary).
