When can you come?
When can you come?
Have your teacher look at the weekly schedule. Empty light green open spaces are FLEX time and you can come to the library for book check in/out.
Dark Purple is for library prep, this time can also be used as a FLEX time.
Light Purple-is for X-STREAM Mondays.
Teal is for Friday meetings, lamination, and other duties as assigned.

If you are sent while there is a class in session, please come in quietly and do self check in, place your books in the book drop and go select new books to then do self check out.
Do not come during a pre-k or kindergarten session. Please go back to your class and come back at different time.

You should make sure that you are using your time wisely. Ms. Valenzuela will allow you no more than 10 minutes in the library. If you have not selected a book during that time, you will be sent back to your class without a book.

I attended Texas Wesleyan University where I obtained my bachelor's degree in Bilingual Education as well as my Master's degree in Second Language Acquisition. I received my Librarian certification through Texas A&M University. I have worked for FWISD since 2004. I started as an AVID tutor and after school program teacher. I became a classroom teacher in 2007 and stayed in the classroom for 12 years. The grades taught were PK, K, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th. I am currently in my fourth year as an elementary school librarian. One of the things I love the most is being able to have a larger impact on student's education.

In my personal time I enjoy spending time with my family, working on DIY projects with my husband as well as gardening and crafting with my kids.
