WHO WE ARE

WLI is a secondary Gold Seal School of Choice (6th-12th) and the first FWISD multilingual school which provides a focus for students interested in pursuing a rigorous, accelerated academic program in Spanish and English as well as the opportunity to learn a third or fourth language and take it to the AP level.  Options include Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, French, Italian, and American Sign Language (A.S.L.).  This all-advanced program offers a variety of courses with the potential for over 100 college hours while still in high school.

WLI Scholars have access to 4 different endorsements to pursue their career interests.  These include Arts and Humanities, Business and Industry, Multidisciplinary Studies and Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (S.T.E.M.) as well as CTE Pathways (Entrepreneurship and Project Lead the Way Computer Science learning Java, Python and Cybersecurity). Students also have the opportunity to complete internships and earn industry-based certifications. 

WLI is much more than a language school.  We pride ourselves for having a strong fine Arts program.  Students have consistently medaled at the state level in visual arts.  Theatre has successfully competed in UIL and our unique “estudiantina” program showcases our students’ musical talents.

QUIENES SOMOS

WLI es una escuela secundaria de Sello de Oro (grado 6 a 12) y la primera escuela multilingüe del FWISD que brinda un enfoque a los estudiantes interesados ​​en seguir un programa académico riguroso y acelerado en español e inglés, así como la oportunidad de aprender un tercer o cuarto idioma hasta el nivel AP. Las opciones incluyen chino mandarín, japonés, italiano, francés y lenguaje de señas americano (A.S.L.). Este programa totalmente avanzado ofrece una variedad de cursos con el potencial de más de 100 horas universitarias mientras aún está en la preparatoria.

Los estudiantes del instituto tienen acceso a 4 endosos diferentes para seguir sus intereses profesionales. El Instituto de Idiomas del Mundo es mucho más que una escuela de idiomas. Nos enorgullecemos de tener un programa sólido de bellas artes. Los estudiantes han obtenido consistentemente medallas a nivel estatal en artes visuales. El teatro ha competido con éxito con UIL y nuestro exclusivo programa "estudiantina" muestra los talentos musicales de nuestros estudiantes.
