ABOUT ME

Dr. Marcia Alexander was born and raised in the city of Detroit, and is the eldest grandchild on both sides of the family. I am the mother of Jamia (daughter) and Hiram (son) and the family's dog name is Cash. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Holy Names University, a Master of Arts degree in Secondary Education (Curriculum and Instruction) from Winthrop University, an Administration Certificate from Gardner-Webb University, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Phoenix. I am a member of The National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS), Emerging New Leaders, and Texas Alliance of Black School Educators (TABSE). I have been in the field of education for over 20 years serving as a teacher leader in several states. I have a proven track record for building teacher capacity working collaboratively to increase learning outcomes for all levels of learners. I believe that all students can excel at high levels with the appropriate supports; therefore, I strive for excellence!
