Course Goals:
1. The student knows the employability characteristics of a successful worker in the modern workplace.
2. The student knows the function and application of the tools, equipment, technologies, and materials used in media technology.
3. The student knows the concepts and skills that form the core knowledge of audio/video production.
4. The student applies the concepts and skills of the trade to simulate actual work situations. The student is expected to:
· Create packages, VOs, VO/SOTs, short films, PSAs
· Operate different types of video and DSLR cameras for video and photography;
· Identify and apply the basic principles of lighting;
· Utilize the various capabilities of television switching and special effect systems;
· Utilize various video signal control and monitoring equipment; and
· Script, direct, and produce media productions.
