FLEX Opportunities
FLEX days overview
FLEX days are compensated as a full, daily rate, non-work day (students are not in attendance). Teachers can determine their daily rate by going to the Employee Self-Serve web page. Because sick and personal days replace a compensated day, the cannot be used to replace a FLEX day. FLEX days are not District Waiver days and may not be used in conjunction with Waiver Day offerings.
Campus (9 hours)
Campus Leaders will determine the professional learning for their campuses. Professional Learning will be aligned to campus needs/goals and geared to improve teacher effectiveness and student success.
Teacher-Selected
(9 hours)
Teachers will participate in professional learning offerings based on their interests, needs, and district initiatives. The professional learning will align with their professional goals as outlined in their end of year conversations.
Content (12 hours)
Content hours are based on the teaching assignment ad District Initiatives and are directed at developing instructional capacity across the district and to create efficacy in teacher practice.
