Cultural Gardens 101

This is an optional pre-lesson to extend the unit and give students a basic understanding of the Cultural Gardens. It is especially useful if you are not able to physically visit the Gardens.

• If you/your students have a special interest in a specific Cultural Garden, each Garden has its own webpage and representatives. Feel free to reach out directly to the Garden representatives if you would like one of them to be a guest speaker.

  • Some gardens that are not yet developed have design plans that you can use with your students as well, especially if you are interested in a cultural group that does not yet have a garden constructed.
