There are a variety of ways schools can fund climate action projects, including fundraising and grant opportunities. Discuss with your school Principal if your project can help support your school's improvement goals and if funding can be made available to support the project.
School Council:
Reach out to your school council to inform them of your project and discuss creative ways they could help assist (e.g., fundraising, donating materials or hosting a community event).
Grants:
TDSB schools are eligible to apply for funding through the following grant opportunities:
City of Toronto: PollintateTO Grants
City of Toronto: Youth Climate Action Grants (grant applicants can also work with some of our Educational Partnerships to make it more amazing!)
TDSB: Business Development list of approved grants (requires staff login)
Fundraising:
Participating in local school fundraising activity to support your climate action project can be a valuable experience for students and can help engage your school community. All school-related fundraising activities must be approved by the school principal.
