Description: The Art Council promotes creativity, self-expression, and appreciation for the arts. We provide students with opportunities to participate in art-related activities, create and showcase their work, and collaborate with others on creative projects. The council organizes art displays, workshops, school decorations, contests, and other events that bring creativity into the school community. Most importantly, the Art Council is a welcoming space where students of all skill levels can explore their creativity, share their ideas, and help make our school a more vibrant and inspiring place.

Description: Music Council hosts many music-related events throughout the year and works diligently to create unforgettable moments for our school community. From our annual Talent Show to Music Night, Music Council knows how to set the stage on fire. From Valentine’s Day Candy Grams, lunchtime performances, and many other school-wide initiatives, Music Council plays an important role in YM’s musical community. Thanks to the dedication of our members and our staff advisor, our school is filled with the joy of music as we work towards making every note count. Music Council looks forward to continuing to create more unforgettable memories!

Tech Crew

Description: Tech Crew is the audio-visual production team at York Mills Collegiate Institute. We provide lighting, sound, and video recording services for the student body, various clubs, and school events. Tech Crew and its members are dedicated to amplifying the voices of the school community and empowering them through the use of audio-visual technology. We work closely with students and clubs to ensure their events are successful.
