Volunteers experience the many benefits of volunteering such as connecting with others and knowing that they are making a positive difference in the lives of patients."
Volunteer commitment: Students in the program are expected to fulfill a minimum of three shifts per week (three to four hours each) for the duration of the summer.
Pre-volunteering requirements for all Summer Student Volunteers
provide two references (not from friends or family)
complete a two-step TB test and health screening
complete a criminal background check (if 18 or over)
attend an orientation session
attend all training sessions
must have access to email
Additional post-secondary student requirements
Currently enrolled in a college or university undergraduate program
Must commit to four months, May to end-August, three shifts per week
Complete online summer volunteer application form and attend an interview if invited
The Post-Secondary Student summer 2026 application deadline is Monday, March 9, 2026.
Additional high-school student requirements
Must be at least 14 years of age and have completed Grade 9
Must commit for two full months, July and August, three shifts per week
Must complete online summer volunteer application form and attend an interview if invited
The High School Student summer 2026 application deadline is Monday, April 27, 2026.

Roncy ReMarket
The event takes place on Saturday, May 30, 2026. It's all about Recycling, Reusing and Reducing.
There are presentations, vendors and a clothing swap.
The hours will be Friday, May 29 from about 5:00 to 7:00ish for set up and Saturday,May 20 from 8:00 - 4:00 approximately.

Roncesvalles United Church, 214 Wright Avenue at Roncesvalles. It's not a church event though.
The ReMarket rents space there!
This is all done under the Parkdale High Park For Climate Action organization.
