Hallelujah is one of Leonard Cohen's most famous songs! It was featured in two children's movies - Shrek and Sing - and has been covered (or sung by) many famous artists and groups, including the Pentatonix, the 3 Tenors, and K.D. Lang.
Leonard Cohen started out as a poet and writer, but then began making the switch to musical artist at the age of 33. You can hear the poetry in the words of his music. The song, Hallelujah, is a perfect example of how he combines his exceptional poetry and songwriting skills into one work!
Leonard Cohen passed away in 2016 at the age of 82.
