Logging into Brightspace

  1. Visit tdsb.elearningontario.ca

  2. Click on Staff and Student Login.

  3. Enter your TDSB student email (firstname.lastname@student.tdsb.on.ca) . Click Next.

  4. Enter your TDSB password. Click Sign in.

Finding your Course

  1. Click on the course launcher

  2. Find the course on the list (Click the Pin to keep it at the top of the list)

  3. Click on your course.

Ask your teacher for the name of the course if you are having difficulty finding it.

On your Brightspace school homepage, look for the My Course menu as another way to access your Brightspace course.

Virtual Classroom Meetings in Brightspace

  1. Find your virtual classroom meeting link. This may be found in the content area, the calendar widget on your course homepage or in the calendar.

  2. Enter the meeting room when it is the date and time of the meeting. Click enter meeting room.

  3. Select your audio options. If you select microphone, an echo test will be conducted.

  4. There are several feature in virtual classroom that you may have access to. Click on the buttons to access these features in virtual classroom.

Connecting your Google Apps to Brightspace

  1. On the Brightspace homepage, find the Google Apps menu. Click Link to your Google Apps accounts.

  2. Replace the student number with the firstname.lastname of your TDSB student email address. Click Create Link.

  3. Click Authorize.

  4. You will be required to login into your TDSB student account. You may need to use your TDSB email and password and your username (TDSB 9-digit student number) and password (same as your email password).

  5. Choose your TDSB account from the list by clicking it.

  6. Review the access information and click allow.
