HP Probook Won't Turn On

  • Press and hold the Power button for 2 full minutes

  • I said what I said.

  • Press and hold the Power button for 2 full minutes (sing the Alphabet Song in your head 4 times)

  • Then you will see the HP Wolf security screen come up and slowly, ever so slowly, the laptop will turn on and you will see the login screen

  • Is this nonsense? Yes.

HP Probook Wi-Fi Troubleshooting

  • The Globe icon with a "no" circle/slash means that the laptop has no Wi-Fi

  • Click on the Globe icon to open the Wi-Fi panel

  • In the Wi-Fi panel, click on the Wi-Fi button to turn the Wi-Fi off and let it reset - wait a few seconds - and then click it back on again

  • Then select the WLANTDSB01 network

  • Check the Connect Automatically box

  • click Connect button

  • When you see the WLANTDSB01 Connected, secured message and see the full Wi-Fi bars icons, you're good to go!

HP Probook "User Service" Error

  • It's dead; no troubleshooting to do

  • Just bring it back to the library and get a different laptop
