The class will visit the school library bi-weekly for browsing and book exchange in the afternoon. We will also be working with the teacher-librarian Ms. Kipp-Ferguson, on school library, literacy and research skills in unit blocks of time, scheduled in the morning.
Students are encouraged to get a library card if they do not already have one. The class will visit Perth Dupont library each month for lessons on literacy and research skills. Note; if students forget their library card, the librarians may allow students to borrow a book if they can provide the phone number associated with the library card (account).
Get a library card here.

Perth Ave. PS is working towards having a 1:2 ratio in grades 1 - 4 .
In grade 5 students will receive their own chromebook for use at school and home for academic purposes through the 1:1 Device Program. Student in grade 9 also receive a device through this program.
It is very helpful if students bring their own HEADPHONES / EARBUDS and MOUSE.
These can be stored at school a designated place or taken home each day and returned the next day. The school will provide headphones and mice but our supply is limited at this time.
