The MAC Fabrication Lab is a space where students can bring their design ideas to life. Technological Design Students are able to use the space to design, iterate, and prototype their ideas before producing their final artifacts and designs. The space has the equipment outlined and pictured below:
4 Makerbot Sketch 3D FDM Printers primarily used for prototyping in both PLA and PLA Tough Materials.
2 Makerbot Method X 3D FDM Printers, for creating end use products utilizing a wide varitey of Materials including: PLA, PLA Tough, ABS, Carbon Fiber, Nylon, Metal, and many others.
The Flashforge Foto 8.9 LCD Resin 3D Printer for desiges requiring detailed 4K resolution prints with a smooth surface finish in a varitey of ECO Resin Finishes.
The Voltera V-One, produces custom Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) for electronic projects.
The Cricut Maker 3 cuter is a crafters dream. One of our newest pieces of equipment allows students to cut designs on a varitey of materials, from cutting on soft woods and card stock for architectural model making, to creating products by etching leather, the cricut cutter is a simple but powerful making tool.
The EinScan-SE 3D Scanner can scan items both on a turntable or by hand, this new piece of equipment will allow out students and MACFabLab club to create custom items for pre-existing objects. Some examples includes, automotive parts and even childrens prostetics.
