1) "Am I eligible to play on a school team if I transferred from another school after Gr. 9?"

Athletes who enter the school after their grade 9 year must be declared eligible by the eligibility committee of the T.D.S.S.A.A. in order to participate in the co-curricular program. Exception to this rule is an athlete entering Northern in Grade 10 from a junior high school (Grade 7, 8 and 9). You MUST notify your coach if you transferred from another school.

2) "What is the difference between Intramurals and team sports?"

School teams are generally selected after a tryout period prior to the beginning of each season. These teams will then compete against other TDSB schools.

Our intramural program is open to any student, and there are no tryouts or cuts. The B.A.A. and G.A.A. run different intramural sports throughout the school year. Have a look at the Intramurals tab to learn more.

3) "Who do I ask if I have a question about sports, intramurals, or getting involved in athletics?"

If you have any question at all about athletics at NSS you can talk to any Phys Ed teacher or feel free to email our ACL of Athletics Mr. Gallo at jake.gallo@tdsb.on.ca.
