In our language program this year, we will be looking at a variety of texts (fiction, non-fiction, news articles, etc.) on current issues that are meaningful to the students. I will really be pushing them to come into class with topics, articles and images that they are interested in learning more about.
We will be doing large group and small group novel studies, as well as classroom read-alouds to hopefully foster an interest for reading.
Students will have many opportunities to work on their presentation skills with various presentations (big and small) throughout the year.
