Experiential Learning Opportunity
This program is for students interested in engineering, robotics, coding, and technology pathways.
To apply for this program, students must:
Complete the Google Form on the website linked above, plus; (Note: form will open February 10th when Course Selection opens)
Select ICD2O1 "Digital Technology & Innovations in the Changing World" (i.e. Computer Science) for Grade 10.

Grade 10 students are expected to choose 8 courses and 3 alternates.
Regular Program – include 5 compulsory courses plus 3 elective courses and 3 alternate courses.
French Immersion Program – include 6 compulsory plus 2 elective courses and 3 alternate courses.

Civics & Careers (CHV2O & GLC2O - 0.5 credit each)
If you have chosen GLE2O9, you MUST have an IEP.
Check to see if there are any other compulsory courses you are missing; for example:
if you did not take a Technology course in Grade 9, you MUST select one in Grade 10 to meet graduation requirements.
if you did not take an Arts course in Grade 9, you MUST select one in Grade 10 to meet graduation requirements.
Check that you have the prerequisites in Grade 9 or 10 for any Grade 11 courses you are interested in taking.
If you are in French Immersion, you must also choose:
FIF2D5 (Immersion)
We also recommend that all subject courses offered in French mmersion be selected (i.e.) CHC2D5, CHV2O5, GLC2O5 and possibly MPM2D5 if you took MPM1D5 in Grade 9.
NOTE: Be sure to count your Immersion credits to ensure you have enough to graduate with your certificate:
French Immersion - 10 credits (11+ credits for Honours)
It is your responsibility to ensure you have the required amount.

Students should consider their post-secondary destinations & maintain a breadth of course choices to keep their options open
NOTE: If you failed a grade 9 core course (English, Math, Science, Geography, French) you should put this into your timetable for next year, if you are not doing credit recovery. If you successfully complete the course in Night School, credit recovery or summer school, Guidance will change your timetable for next year (i.e. put in the appropriate grade 10 course). This course will be selected from your alternates.
