Mr. Waechter, OCT

In the music classroom, students will get to play a wide array of age-appropriate musical instruments. Students will sing songs in French and will be introduced to singing games, dances, and body percussion rhythmic accompaniments. Students will also be introduced to playing non-pitched percussion instruments (drums, shakers, etc.), and pitched percussion instruments (xylophones and glockenspiels). In the following years they will continue to use these instruments to a greater degree to enrich their musical experience and understanding, and in later years they are introduced to playing recorders and ukuleles.
