In 2025, seven GreenwoodSS students were winners of the CIMC, Canadian Innovation Math contest. CIMC is a Math competition where students around the world answer as many math questions as they can in 75 minutes. The math questions include mental math concepts, reasoning, problem solving, abstract and spatial thinking questions. The students were awarded with medals and certificates for their special achievements.
The International Day of Mathematics took place on March 14th 2025. Staff and students of GreenwoodSS celebrated all things math by having fun playing math games, solving puzzles and making art together.

The International Day of Mathematics took place on March 14th 2024. Staff and students of GreenwoodSS celebrated all things math by learning and having fun with math together, fostering friendships between students of different cultures.
AFTER SCHOOL MATH REVIEW
Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, there is an extra 30 minutes math lesson for the students who need a refresher and/ or reinforcements of foundational math concepts.
Every week will be a different topic. Students are encouraged to ask their math teachers for the weekly topics.
EXTRA MATH HELP
Extra math help is available from individual math teachers, during lunchtime and after school. Students are encourage to ask their math teachers for extra math support.
