TDSB CTEP/ECPP

Care and Treatment Education Programs (CTEP)

CTEPs provide daily education for students unable to attend regular school due to primary care or treatment needs. In this collaborative model, school boards deliver the education program while partner facilities provide medical or therapeutic care, prioritizing the student's health and treatment needs.

Education and Community Partnership Programs (ECPP)

ECPPs deliver daily education for youth court-ordered into justice, custody, or detention facilities. This collaborative partnership pairs school board educators with facility staff who provide rehabilitation and treatment services, ensuring students maintain their education while in custody.

A Shared Responsibility

Care and Treatment Education Programs provide access to academic instruction alongside highly specialized care, centering the student within a multidisciplinary team of clinical staff, educators and community partners. This model provides the holistic support needed for students to recieve the medical and mental health services they require, build strong relationships, improve well-being, and achieve academic success.

This collaborative model supports the Toronto District School Board’s (TDSB) Multi-Year Strategic Plan by ensuring every learner has the opportunity to belong, achieve, and thrive.
