Community Involvement Form - please see this link for current volunteer opportunities. Complete the form and submit once complete.
As part of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) requirements, all students must complete 40 hours of community involvement activities before graduation. These activities can take place in non- profit organizations, public sector institutions, or local businesses, as long as they provide a genuine contribution to the community and do not replace a paid worker. The purpose of this requirement is to help students develop civic awareness and a sense of the positive impact they can have in supporting and strengthening their communities. All community hours must be obtained outside of regular class instructional time.
Hours can be completed at any time after a student graduates from Grade 8, including during the summer months.
Please note: If a student completes more than 100 hours with a single organization, please submit a letter (on letterhead) from that organization in addition to the community hours form.
