Graduation Requirements

If you are entered grade 9 in 2024 or later, to earn a high school diploma in Ontario, you must:

• earn 17 compulsory credits

• earn 13 optional credits

• pass the literacy requirement

• earn at least two online learning credits (or opt out of requirement)

• complete a minimum of 40 hours of community involvement activities

If you are currently in grade 11 or 12+, to earn a high school
