As part of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) requirements, all students must complete a minimum of 40 hours of community involvement activities to graduate. The purpose of this requirement is to help students develop civic awareness and a sense of the positive impact they can haorting and strengthening their communities. All community hours must be obtained outside of regular class instructional time. Hours can be completed at any time after a student graduates from Grade 8, including during the summer months. * If a student completes more than 100 hours with a single organization, please submit a letter (on letterhead) from that organization in addition to the completed community involvement form.
