Driven by our Specialist High Skills Major, Bike, and Cooperative education programs, CTA has brought experiential learning to the forefront of all classes by partnering with numerous industry professionals and organizations. By putting theory into practice, students are deeply engaged in the material they are studying and gain a lasting academic experience.
Central Toronto Academy is home to the innovative Bike to School (B2S) Project, a unique collaboration between Central Toronto Academy, CultureLink, Cycle Toronto and the Toronto Cycling Think and Do Tank.
Students can earn a credit while gaining valuable technical and leadership skills. Students learn bike maintenance and repair, create bike safety promotional materials, conduct workshops for the annual Bike to School Leadership Camp and support bike club programs across the TDSB.
Our nonprofit business partner Bikes Without Borders recycles and up-cycles used bikes for families in need.

Tata Consultancy Services TCS) is an IT service, consulting and business solutions organization that delivers real results to global business. CTA has partnered with Tata Consultancy Services to organize the annual goIT program for all CTA grade 9 students.
goIT is TCS' signature community engagement program in North America that increases interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education through app development, design thinking and robotics.
CTA has partnered with The Royal Bank of Canada to offer this education social innovation program. A Hackathon is a sprint-like design and coding event in which senior high school students (with assistance from IT professionals) collaborate with younger students to create an app prototype that addresses a pressing social issue connected to their lived communities. A Hackathon is a great way for inner city youth to learn mentorship, design and coding skills.
We have an active thriving business students club that meets every week to particiapte in various business competitions and field trips. The Leadership Conference is for senior students who are interested in Business Studies. The conference is hosted by Wilfrid Laurier University annualy. High school students have the opportunity to live on campus and participate exciting activities such as university lectures, group activities, business case studies.
Each year our business leadership students organize a day long workshop for junior high students in the neighborhood. Younger students learn about the world of business through interactive business games and I.C.E (Innovation, Creativity and Entrepereneurship) challenges. last year over 130 grade seven students participated in this event.
