What is GLE?

GLE is a course that supports students with an IEP (Individual Learning Plan) build general learning strategies.  Students earn one credit for completion of the course.

The GLE teacher's role is to support students with an IEP to ensure that students are developing learning skills and personal management skills, connect with students' classroom teachers outlining the supports offered in GLE, monitor student success, connect with parents regarding student success.

The GLE student's role is to be prepared with work from other classes so they can receive one-on-one support and take advantage of the extra time that so many students require. Ensure that all of your teachers know that you have a GLE period so they can contact your GLE teachers with any work related items. Understand your I.E.P. accommodations/modifications to advocate appropriately for your success.
