Coding apps and websites that foster
WeDo2.0
Students have the opportunity to work with the WeDo2.0 Lego Kits, Lego and Chromebooks to create and code various LEGO machines to solve different challenges.
Thank you to the Blantyre Parent Council for our original purchase of the WeDo Lego Kits.
2021
Ms. Butkovich's Grade 2 students used WeDo2.0, to showcase different aspect of simple machines (ie wheel, axis, pulley, ramp etc...)
2019/20
Grade 4/5 WeDo Lunch Club
A great group of students who helped one another create and code different challenges.
2019
Twelve Grade 2 students participated in the worldwide FLLJr Challenge: Mission Moon!
They explored the needs of survival; air, water, food, health, safety
They built a rocketship and different buildings needed to make a base on the moon.
They built and coded machines to move equipment and travel on their base.
They showcased their learning at an Expo.
Spike Prime
Students have had the opportunity to work with the WeDo2.0 Lego Kits, Lego and Chromebooks to build, code and create various LEGO machines to solve a challenge.
2021/22
Ms. Harcourt's Grade 6 students exploring and coding with Spike Prime.

Dash & Dot
We are proud owners of 6 Dash & 6 Dot robots that we have used in the primary classes. We look forward to coding and problem solving with our friends again this year.
Thank you to the Blantyre Parent Council for the purchase of these robots a few years back!
Scratch Jr
Students in Grade 1 & 2 participated in a Digital Citizenship Expo through TDSB's Ignite, Explore, Inspire conference.
Our students demonstrated how to write and code stories using Scratch Jr.
