Tips for parents/guardians: Encourage your child watch one TedEd video or read one TIME for Kids article a day and to look up unfamiliar keywords, translate it into home language, and write a short 3-4 sentence English summary of what they watched or read. Encourage them to also complete at least one lesson from BBC Learning English a day and to have them take notes in home language or English as they follow along. Do the lessons with them and practice speaking, writing, reading, and understanding together!
TedEd is a Youtube channel that publishes interesting educational videos on a variety of topics. English learners can use TedEd to improve language skills by watching engaging videos with subtitles, transcripts, and comprehension or discussion questions.
