3D Sanitation Robot in an office environment
Introduction
For this project, students were tasked with creating a realistic industrial robot. In general, this assignment is meant to strengthen and enhance student skills in 3D design and modeling. Tasks include selecting a type of robot, deciding on a layout, theme, and atmosphere. Consideration should be given to customer needs and the creation of a 3D modeled environment that fits that need. SketchUp Make 3D will be used to create the models for this project.
The 3D Sanitation Robot that I created will have two modes: one for picking up trash and one for vacuuming the floor. This robot has rotatable arms that allow it to pick up trash and place it into their storage space or into the trash can. In the pictures below, the robots are shown functioning and moving in both modes.
