Course Outline

Introduction to Computer Science will be a semester long course introducing students to information technology and associated skills and competencies within the information technology industry.  The class will be 60 minutes long and will be the student's last class of the day. Students will be given an industry standard assessment at the end of the course as proof of learning. 

Extra Help

I will be available to help students at the following times outside of class: 

• During 8th grade lunch

• Before school between the hours of 7:30 and 8:00 am.  If a student could only come for 15 minutes in the morning, by the end of the week they would have had an additional 1.25 hours of time to complete missing work.

• If these times do not work, please contact Ms. Smith and we can create a plan of action.

Introduction to Computer Science is a module based platform.  Students are able to work ahead and complete modules on their own if they choose.  There will also be direct instruction for students needing more support and instruction. It is important that students have their chromebook and earbuds (not airpods) everyday.
