Course Outline

Career Exploration is designed to focus on all aspects of employment as well as identifying personal characteristics that influence career development. Career Exploration will also incorporate basic keyboarding strategies that will enable students to become more efficient students.

Standards Covered:

• • Understand interests, attitudes, values, personality, learning styles, & skills

  • Understand how interests, values, and personality influence career choices

  • Understand the world-of-work and skills needed for employment success

  • Understand job search techniques

Grading Policy

Standards based grading is used in this course. The following number grades represent each level of mastery:

M - Mastery Achieved: 100

P - Proficient: 89

D - Developing: 79

Not Demonstrated: 59

Assignment not attempted: 0

*Assignments may have several standards graded. Therefore an assignment may be an average of several graded standards.

Late assignments will be placeheld with a 0 until the assignment is turned in.
