Welcome to the PFE Chorus

1. Students in 4th or 5th grade may participate in after-school chorus with Mrs. Smith.

2. Chorus practices are after school 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. in the music room on THURSDAYS from September - May each year.

3. Chorus students sometimes participate in one fund-raiser per year to raise money for Dollywood scholarships.

4. Chorus students who are in the year-long chorus are eligible to attend the performance and fun day at Dollywood Theme Park.

General Information and Expectations Page

General Information at-a-glance:

• Students provide their own 3-ring binder for each chorus practice.

• Performance clothing for 3 of the performances is khaki-colored pants/shorts/skirts and the PFE Performance polo (see below)

• Performance clothing for All-County chorus is white on top, black on bottom.

• Performance clothing for Dollywood trip is that year's ROPE shirt (2018-2019 is the GRIT shirt)

Cost:

• There is no fee to participate in chorus.

• All students are asked to purchase a PFE Chorus performance polo shirt from the school. Used shirts may be available for $12.00. New shirts will be available for $22.00.

Performances include:

• Veterans Day Celebration during school on or around November 11.

• Winter Concert in the first week of December.

• All-County Chorus in late March - mid April with Brevard Elementary and Rosman/TCH chorus students.

• Spring Concert in the first week of May.

• Dollywood Theme Park just after the Spring Concert.

Other FAQs:

• Students sign a contract of participation and Parents sign a permission slip in order for students to participate.

• There is a minimum requirement for attendance at each practice after school.

• Parent pick-up is in the back lot at 4:00 p.m. unless parents are notified otherwise.
