This course is a Career Technology Education (CTE) class focused on the Engineering Design Process and real world problem solving. Students are introduced to this topic through the building and programming of EV3 robots to solve various challenges which will take up the majority of the quarter. Students will receive an introductory lesson on general shop safety including the identification of the big woodworking machines, but any shop projects we complete in this grade will involve simple tools such as pliers and screwdrivers.
Students are enrolled in a Google Classroom course and they can find their assignments there as well as communicate with the teacher. This is also the place where virtual day materials will be posted. Classroom policies, safety rules and the safety agreement can be found on the resources page for any parents or students who would like to refer to it. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
