Mr. Ausburn was born and raised in Brevard, NC and is proud to be teaching at the same school where he once was a student. He graduated from Brevard High School in 2006 and then attended Appalachian State University as an NC Teaching Fellow. After college, Mr. Ausburn worked as an outdoor educator, survival instructor and camp director. He started his teaching career at Davidson River School before coming back home to BMS. After teaching 8th grade science for three years, Mr. Ausburn made the transition to the CTE department.
When Mr. Ausburn isn't working in the shop at BMS, he is at home working in his own shop restoring antique tools or just rambling through the woods.
