Welcome to the 2025-2026 School Year in Science!

Year 2

This school year is the second year in a three year cycle. Topics we will cover include: 

• What Is Science?

• Forces/Energy

• Simple Machines

• Electricity and Magnetism

• Ecology

• Oceanography

• Biomes: Relating to oceanography and ecosystems

• Health

The 2025-2026 school year will cover the Year 2 curriculum, and the 2026-2027 school year will cover the Year 3 curriculum. After that, the cycle will start again.

The Year 3 and Year 1 curriculum is as follows:

Year 3: 

• What Is Science?

• Earth's History, Composition, Changes, Erosion, and Weathering

• Petrology: Rocks and Minerals

• Animal and Plant Life Adaptations

• The Microscopic World (Cells)

• Biomes: Relating to ecosystems and plant/animal adaptations

• Health

Year 1:

• What Is Science?

• Color, Light, and Sound

• Matter

• Weather

• Space

• Biomes: Relating to ecosystems, students will choose a biome to study

• Health
