Welcome to the 2024-2025 School Year in Science!

Year 1

This school year is the first year in a three year cycle. Topics we will cover include: 

• What Is Science?

• Petrology: Rocks and Minerals

• Weather

• Matter

• Space

• Biomes: Relating to ecosystems, students will choose a biome to study

• Health

The 2025-2026 school year will cover the Year 2 curriculum, and the 2026-2027 school year will cover the Year 3 curriculum. After that, the cycle will start again.

The Year 2 and Year 3 curriculum is as follows:

Year 2:

Year 3:

• Color, Light, and Sound

• The Microscopic World (Cells)

• Biomes: Relating to ecosystems and plant/animal adaptations
