In the sun-kissed paradise of Hawaii, Dee Mecham was more than just a high school economics teacher; he was also a dedicated basketball coach, driven by a passion for the patterns and strategies that defined both the economy and the game. His days were spent teaching students the intricate dance of supply and demand, while his afternoons were filled with the rhythm of basketball drills and the pursuit of excellence on the court.

One fateful evening, as Mr. Mecham was organizing the classroom supply closet, he stumbled over an old, forgotten abacus. As he fell, his head struck the wooden frame, and in that moment, his perception shifted. His mind became a supercomputer, seeing the world in numbers and equations, unraveling the mysteries of economics, sports strategies, and beyond with unparalleled clarity.

Recognizing the potential of his newfound abilities, Mr. Mecham took on the identity of "The Numerator" and set out on a mission to use his powers for good. He began by forming the Equation Corps, a group of young, brilliant minds dedicated to solving the world’s most pressing problems through math and logic.

But the journey didn’t end there. Seeking to expand the impact of the Equation Corps, he relocated to San Diego, where he joined The Bishop's School to continue training a new generation of young mathematicians and economists, equipping them with the tools they needed to make a real difference.

Now, Mr. Mecham has turned his focus to developing younger Equation Corps recruits, taking on a role as a math and coding teacher at The Child's Primary School. In this new chapter, he is dedicated to nurturing the talents of the next generation, instilling in them the power and joy in numbers and the belief that with the right knowledge, they can change the world. Under his guidance, these young minds are not just learning math—they're learning to see the world in a whole new way, one equation at a time.
