We value the childhood experience. It is what makes us all the people we are today, regardless of where you are from, how you were raised, or what your childhood may have looked like. Everyone has been a child at some point in their lives, however, childhood looks different for everyone. Throughout the Urban Education Roundtable Project, one cohort of participants has chosen to focus on the resiliency and will to survive of youth, as well as shined light on the power of youth movements. In this section, you can find images of schools throughout the majority of the twentieth century moving into the twenty-first century. You will also find images depicting children that have faced different hardships and experienced an array of popular events and movements.
