Faculty Book Club

This is a place where you can list books you are reading which help you in your teaching, your research, or your own spiritual life. Provide a sentence or two of description to help others know a bit about the book.

1. Friedman, Thomas. Thank You for Being Late. New York: Farrar, Strauss, and Giroux. 2016.

If you are interested in our present world and how people are dealing with it this book provides some insights.

2. McKnight, Scot. Reading Romans Backward. Waco, TX: Baylor University Press, 2019.

McKnight's position is that readers cannot understand the book of Romans unless they better understand the people to whom Paul is writing, and that starts with the last chapter. McKnight is a New Testament scholar teaching at Northern Seminary in Chicago.
