Li Xu, Ph.D. (Acupuncture), D.O.M., Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner
Dr. Li Xu, a licensed Oriental Medicine doctor and Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner, holds a Ph.D. in Acupuncture. With over two decades of practice in the United States and extensive expertise, Dr. Xu specializes in pain management, women's health, herbs, nutrition, and functional medicine.
Her journey in acupuncture and herbal medicine began at the age of 17, leading to a Master's Degree in Chinese Internal Medicine and herbal medicine, followed by a Ph.D. in Acupuncture in China. Dr. Xu's dedication to education is evident through her 11-year tenure as a full professor at Southwest Acupuncture College, where she imparted her knowledge in acupuncture and Chinese medicine.
Dr. Dawei Shao, D,O.M., MSOM, MHA., M.D. (China)
Dr. Dawei Shao is a licensed Doctor of Oriental Medicine in New Mexico, also certified by The National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) since 2007. He has been practicing in New Mexico since then, specializing in Chinese style acupuncture, scalp acupuncture (neuro-acupuncture), Master Tung style Acupuncture, auricular acupuncture, and other techniques.
Dr. Shao has extensive experience treating various pain syndromes, including but not limited to migraine, sciatica, lower back pain, shoulder pain, neck pain, neuropathy caused by diabetes or chemo therapies, allergies, skin problems, digestive problems, and other conditions listed in his brochure. He uses acupuncture and Chinese herbs to treat his patients.
In addition to his Chinese medicine training, Dr. Shao obtained a bachelor’s degree in clinical medicine in China in 1996 and a master’s degree in health administration from the University of New Mexico in 2022. He is also licensed in Basic Injection Therapy, which he uses to treat B 12 deficiency, low energy, and pain management.
