So how did I get involved in education? After some time in "The Biz," I realized that my life was not fulfilling. I packed up my life, sold most of my belongings and headed to Shanghai. Eventually I began teaching 7th grade English to international students in Shanghai. This is where I discovered my love of teaching. I took the time to learn on the job and eventually earned my teaching license in USA. 

After some time in Shanghai, I chose to move to Istanbul to satisfy my desire to see more of the world. There I again taught 7th and 8th grade international students. While in Istanbul, I took enrolled in a  graduate degree program and obtained my Master's in Education from SUNY Buffalo State. I now know that I am much better equipped as an educator than the man who left home for some adventure back in 2014. 

Over the years I have had a maany different passions from cycling to drumming. I rode my bicycle from Prague to Budapest, and I've been actively learning how to play the drums for the last few years. When I discover something that I love, I tend to go all in, and that is how I feel about becoming a teacher. I'm am very excited to be a part of the TCIS family and continue  looking forward to teaching and learning from all of my students here in high school at TCIS.
