2. Teacher Learning Reports

What are they and how do I run a report.....

These instructions are for running the Leadership Report Card AND a report called the Teacher Learning Report. The Teacher Learning Report is a resource that reflects data for ONE TEKS CLUSTER… the readiness/supporting standards in that one “family” or “filing cabinet TEKS Cluster drawer.”

In short, it organizes your TEKS clusters the way they are organized and taught! Lead4ward also does a GREAT job color coding items that help you better follow the different areas. The video link below will help walk you through the process and explain more.

https://lead4ward-1.wistia.com/medias/5qamlfk0et

The lead4ward data module gives you the ability to break down data into three areas.

1.   Longitudinal STAAR data (You can go back one year or 6 years)

2.   Local test that are placed in Eduphoria

3.   Wild Card ( this could be teacher input or teacher test data)

Once you land on the 3 TEKS Clusters they are going to prioritize for gap-closing, then have them analyze and “highlight the happy” in the 3 Teacher Learning Reports that reflect the 3 TEKS Clusters they chose.  This will help them know which SUBCLUSTERS may need more attention WITHIN the TEKS Clusters they prioritized. This goes along with, “how do you eat an elephant?”, the answer is one bite at a time. It will be important to pick the 3 TEKS clusters that present the most problems and address accordingly.

See a few slides at the following drop box link to demonstrate how…

1.   “highlighting the happy” on the Leadership Report Card

2.   THEN “highlighting the happy” the prioritized TEKS Cluster Teacher Learning Reports

3.   will TOTALLY help teachers know where to focus gap-closing efforts!

3. Strategy Playlists

Instructional strategies / virtual instructional strategies.....

instructional strategies

The lead4ward Instructional Strategies Playlists are designed to provide teachers with detailed descriptions of specific, instructional strategies, many of which are modeled and experienced in lead4ward professional development sessions. This resource is intended to support educators in using an intentional planning process that includes delivering instruction that is aligned to the TEKS, promotes student engagement, and teaches for access, rigor, and transfer. Teachers use instructional strategies to:

NEW virtual instructional strategies (adaptation)

The lead4ward Strategies Playlists are designed to provide teachers with engaging, rigorous instructional strategies that can be implemented during classroom instruction promote access, thinking, and transfer. However, many of these techniques can also be implemented in a virtual learning environment. This Strategies Playlists – Virtual Learning Adaptations resource is intended to support educators in delivering VIRTUAL instruction that promotes maximum student engagement.

This resource is not meant to replace the Instructional Strategies Playlist. This resource is simply an enhancement and clarification document of how the original face-to-face classroom strategies can also be implemented in a virtual learning environment.
