The NEP SAARTHI (Student Ambassador for Academic Reforms in Transforming Higher Education in India) initiative was launched in alignment with the visionary National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which aims to transform the Indian higher education landscape through innovation, inclusivity, and excellence.
Our institution took its first step toward this reformative journey in January 2025, when the University Grants Commission (UGC) invited Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) across India to nominate enthusiastic and capable student ambassadors - known as SAARTHIs. These student ambassadors would act as a bridge between policy and practice, promoting NEP initiatives, gathering feedback, and igniting awareness on campus.
The selection process involved a structured call for nominations, internal screening through interviews and assessments, and finally, the nomination of nine dedicated students by our college to represent our values and spirit. These NEP SAARTHIs were officially recognized by UGC and entrusted with the responsibility to lead meaningful academic reforms at the ground level.
Since then, the NEP SAARTHI team at our institution has been actively involved in organizing awareness campaigns, student engagement programs, and educational reform activities - carrying forward the vision of a vibrant, student-centric, and globally competitive education system.

We aspire to build a generation of informed, empowered, and responsible learners who are not just beneficiaries but also co-creators of India’s evolving academic landscape.

We aim to:
Promote Awareness: Educate students, faculty, and the wider academic community about the key tenets of NEP 2020 through campaigns, workshops, and digital content.
Encourage Participation: Foster a culture of dialogue and collaboration where students can voice their perspectives and contribute to the implementation of NEP in their institutions.
Lead by Example: Initiate and support student-led projects that reflect the core values of NEP such as flexibility, skill development, innovation, and value-based education.
Bridge the Gap: Serve as a dynamic link between students, educators, and policymakers - ensuring that reforms are not only well-understood but also effectively practiced at the grassroots level.
Empower through Leadership: Nurture student leaders who champion educational reform, inclusivity, sustainability, and digital transformation on their campuses and beyond.
At its core, NEP SAARTHI is more than just a representative body- it is a vibrant platform where young minds take charge of the narrative, turning NEP ideals into impactful realities.
