Take your learning even further by getting your Campus Technology Specialist Certification from TCEA. This 12-month program will allow you to interact with other campus technology specialists while you attend webinars and an online course that are targeted to the role of campus technology specialists. You'll develop a portfolio as you go along that highlights your skills and learning as well as work on a relevant final project as your capstone.
The Campus Technology Specialist Certification program is designed to give extended opportunities to individuals to grow deeper in their learning in order to better support campus staff with integrating technology. This program consists of 26 hours of training provided in live webinar and online course formats. Each participant will submit a final project that demonstrates their skills.
A new cohort begins each fall but about half the participants join during mid-year. Participants joining after September will jump in with coursework based on the schedule. Any webinars or online courses missed can be made up later; possible repeat sessions will be offered in March and April based on the number of participants needing the course. Otherwise, participants may pick up final coursework during the following year.
