10 Ways to Survive Life in a Quarantine Starring...
Patrick Costales as AL (ALISON in the script) and JEFF
Patrick is currently a grade 11 student at Brebeuf College School. This is his first production but he has always wanted to do more. Patrick is an avid viewer of musicals such as: In the Heights and Bat Out of Hell. He aspires to eventually be able to create a musical production of his own. Throughout high school, drama has been a great way to relieve stress and foster the great social skills he has today.
Marylin Conti as MACDUCK and REAGEN
Marilyn is a grade 10 student from St. Joseph Morrow Park. This is her first time acting in production with Theatre Brebeuf. She plays the role of the marvelous Reagan along with the brave Hamlet and Macduck. With the pandemic, things have been tough for everyone... Marilyn believes this production will shine a light on those who are in the dark so that we can come together as a community, even if it's virtually. Behind the scenes, Marilyn spends her quarantine binge-watching shows like Adventure Time, The Good Doctor, Hunter X Hunter, and The Promised Neverland. She deals with being cooped up with her large family by baking sweets in the kitchen, a hobby she's decided to explore during the pandemic. She gives her thanks to all the teachers, fellow actors, and her supporting parents for their efforts in making this play happen. She's grateful to have had the opportunity to experience this and hopes to be doing this again in the Fall.
Mark Deivid Ferrer as TOBY
This is Deivid's first Theatre Brebeuf play. Deivid is a grade 9 Brebeuf student who attended Saint Pascal Baylon. He does not have any first-hand acting experiences. Deivid heard about this theatre production because of his drama teacher and is glad he decided to join.
Joshua Ellorimo as JOSEPH (JOLENE in the script)
Joshua is a grade 10 student at Brebeuf College School. He is a really energetic and athletic person who loves acting and playing sports. His love for drama began in the seventh grade and he has taken acting seriously since high school. He aspires to become an actor and become his own stuntman like Jackie Chan. This year is his first ever performance in 10 Ways To Survive Life In A Quarantine and he hopes to be part of many more in the future. He would like to thank his teacher Ms. Lo Bianco for giving him the opportunity to be a part of this performance.
Al Gene C. Gomez as TORRANCE and UDER
This is Al Gene’s first ever theatrical performance despite participating in drama in his elementary days and also being in a play. He’s been trying to figure out what his unique talent is for a while and it seems that drama is the perfect fit. He is also interested in Media Arts and wants to learn more about editing. He looks forward to participating in the SHSM Arts and Culture program when he enters grade 11 and the opportunities it presents. Drama has been fun these past months and I aim to learn more about it.
Remcy Guimban as ANNA
This is Remcy's first Theatre Brebeuf production. Remcy is a grade 9 student who attends St. Joseph Morrow Park. She has never been a part of any type of theatre production other than projects in elementary school. Remcy heard about the show and auditioned with two of her friends. Lastly, Remcy would like to thank her friends who auditioned with her as well as her family who had to deal with the noise.
Sahar Karami as PASCAL
This is Sahar Karami’s first theatre production. She is fifteen years old and is in grade 10 and she is a student from St. Joseph’s Morrow Park. She is very artistic. She loves doing arts and crafts, especially working with clay and making sculptures. She spends a lot of her time watching movies and reading scripts and acting them out in front of her mirror. Every time Sahar watches a movie she gets so inspired by all the cast members and imagines herself in their shoes and how amazing it may feel to be on stage along with other people who also love acting. Sahar has never performed live on stage but she does small monologues and records herself with props and loves it. She does a great job at it while having zero experience. Ever since she was little she loved dress up and pretended to be different characters, while she put her drawings up on the walls to change the setting of her room to fit her character. She also took art class at a very young age but after a while stopped and taught herself. In the end Sahar is very creative and her dream job is to see herself on TV acting. She is so thankful for her family and friends for acknowledging her artwork throughout the years.
Chiemerie Ibeabuchi as TASH
This is Emry’s first Theatre Brebeuf show as he is a grade 9 student at Brebeuf College. Back at his elementary school in Nigeria, he was picked out for a play that consisted of the old time life, and he played the role of Arabi the King of the small town in Lagaelo. Emry loves to rap, sing and record his own music and wishes that a popular record artist or big record label finds his music and signs him to become a big known artist like his idol: Juice WRLD. Emry once performed in a live act to raise money for charity and has an app with his own songs and beats for people to use. Emry would like to thank the directors, the cast, and mostly Ms. Lo Bianco for giving him the opportunity to partake in this play.
Brayden Levillard as HOST ("Jeffery") and MARVIN
Brayden is a freshman at Brebeuf College. Believe it or not, this is Brayden's first theatre production ever. He was the MC for school concerts but the last time he did that was in kindergarten. Although he selected music as his art he ended up receiving drama. It was unlike anything he imagined and it certainly is starting to grow on him. With little experience, he still joined the Theatre Brebeuf production. He enjoys performing and making people laugh and this was perfect for that. He enjoys playing video games and sports. Of course, he would like to thank his parents, bros, friends and both his drama teachers for always supporting him.
Alijah Ross Lorino as RAFAEL (RACHEL in the script)
Alijah Ross Lorino is a grade 10 student at Brebeuf College School. In his past year at Brebeuf, Alijah has helped out at school masses as an altar server and also at last year’s Theatre Brebeuf as a snack vendor (not playing a snack vendor role, but as an actual snack vendor). He is also an altar server and member of the youth group at St. Timothy’s Parish. During quarantine Alijah has made a few new friends on an app called Twitch which is a live streaming platform for video games and occasionally in real life streams sometimes known as “Just Chatting” or “IRL streams”. Alijah also decided to try streaming himself and making YouTube videos as well. If you want to check him out just go to twitch.tv/arml_12 and search ARML_12 on YouTube. It’s not that often for him to be streaming or posting but when he does it is usually a fun time. He would like to thank his family and friends for supporting him during tough times.
Joshua Angelo Mina-Martinez as CAMERON and MACBEAR
Joshua Martinez is a grade 9 student aspiring to be an actor and a singer/songwriter. Musicals are the form of entertainment he enjoys the most, and he likes to express his artistic side through acting and singing even playing the likes of Batman and Charlie Brown in his school’s Christmas concert’s side stories. Brooklyn 99, Hamilton, the plethora of free Andrew Lloyd Webber's limited free musicals, most Disney movies and the upcoming In the Heights movie has inspired Joshua for a career in musical theatre or movie production.
Djian Fender Molina as PETER and ANDREW
Djian is a grade 9 student at Brebeuf College School. 10 Ways to Survive Life in Quarantine is his first ever Theatre Brebeuf production. During elementary school he was involved in a few school productions and played the main role in them. He expresses his creativity through acting, script writing, and editing for it is a hobby of his. Djian is very driven with drama and one day dreams to reach for the stars but is aware of the thorny path he needs to take. Djian will put 101% of effort for this year's play because he is afraid of failure and embarrassment--it is what drives him to do great things. He hopes to develop more as an actor with this year's Theatre Brebeuf performance. Djian would like to take this opportunity to thank Ms.Lo Bianco and the other teachers for using up their free time on this wonderful play even though these times are rough for all of us. Enjoy the show everyone!
Renz Villena Pagnas as LOU
This is Renz’s first Theatre Brebeuf production. Renz is a grade 9 student at Brebeuf college school. He enjoys doing drama and playing sports. Renz played one of the soldiers in the passion play and Maurice, Belle's father, in Beauty and the Beast in Italian at St. Robert’s last year. He would like to thank his family and friends who have continued to support his artistic or theatrical ventures. Thank you, Ms. Lo Bianco for helping and giving me advice for my parts.
Aaron Porter as JAMAL
Aaron used to be a really active guy until the pandemic hit but then his parents wouldn’t allow him to go outside and explore; so, instead he got addicted to tech and is stuck with tech from now on. He doesn’t even sleep. He's just up all night playing computer games.
Samantha Nicole Pulleros as ELLA and NEIMA
Samantha is a grade 9 student who attends St. Joseph Morrow Park. She's never participated in any type of theatre production other than those plays her elementary teachers would make her do for a mark/grade. However, that all changed when her friend told her about the Brebeuf play and she was intrigued with the script. So, she auditioned for this play and that's how she ended up playing the role of a crazy cat woman AND a squirrel documenter (crazy right?). She would like to thank her parents for dealing with the concerning noises they had to hear and her friends for being there.
Brendan Wong as COHOST ("Robin")
Brendan is a grade 11 student at Brebeuf College School. He is a very distinguished and unique individual with the power to lift others' spirits and solve Rubik's Cubes. In his spare time, he likes to listen to rock, indie, pop, and hip hop/rap music, as well as musical soundtracks. Electric guitar, bass, and piano are some of his expertises, as well as competitive yoyoing, in which he won fourth place at the Canadian Nationals in 2016. He wishes to secure a career in either Theatre Production or Music Production after high school. He releases music under the name Plasma Paint, and has released two songs and a mixtape of songs thus far. In terms of theatre experience, he has directed and starred in the play Bench Warrant, by Bradley Hayward, and produced and performed by Theatre Brebeuf, and was lighting director for Parapendra by Owen Macrae, a Brebeuf Alumni, and stage manager for Mas(c)k by Marcus Sorrell. Some of his favourite foods include "garlic-flavored anything," pasta of any kind, and mandarin oranges. Finally, Brendan would like to thank Ms. Lo Bianco for allowing him to be a part of this great experience, his family, for bringing him to many theatre productions growing up, and his good friends Masih Sabzavi, Sean Smolej, and Keith Rosales for keeping him in check throughout the pandemic.
