Students often struggle with Academics, and they are frequently in search of additional help.
Please see the various options listed below or any of the ones posted on the Guidance/Student Services Bulletin Board.
It is always recommended that the student consult first with the subject teacher.
Grade 9 and 10 students are welcome to visit our notice board in the Guidance Office to get contact information for local community tutors for various subject areas.
Please Note: It is recommended that parents contact and screen the community tutors as to your son/daughter's needs. MPSJ does not pre-screen any of the tutors.
Also, Grade 9 and 10 students can request the contact information of a peer tutor from their Guidance Counsellor. These Peer Tutors are made up of Grade 11 and 12 students who either wish to receive community hours or payment. This will be determined upon contacting the tutor.

To log in and register at https://www.tvomathify.com/students , you'll need your Ontario Education Number (OEN), found at the top of your report card near your name.
Note :Mathify is offered in English and is only available to students at publicly funded schools.
The Toronto Public Library offers After School Programs for students to attend across the GTA. Below shows the programs and locations.
1) Youth Hubs are for students (specifically for newcomers) grades 7-10 to get homework help, participate in workshops and programs, play video games, and meet new friends in a safe environment. 2 branch locations are Centennial and Sanderson: http://www.torontopubliclibrary.ca/services/homework-help.jsp
2) Homework Help for Teens, this one is mainly homework help. There are 3 main locations: Maria A. Shchuka, Parkdale, Fairview. And there are 3 additional homework help programs at Bridlewood, Malvern and Eatonville (but better to call the branches to check for details):
